Originally from New Zealand and now both settled in Australia, Michael O’Donoghue and Keith Orchard are graduates of Massey University. And the similarities do not end there.

Michael enjoys the hands on practical side of industrial design, manufacturing, form studies, prototyping and model making and one day hopes to retire to a big workshop designing and making desirable objects and tinkering with motorcycles. Keith was always more interested being out in the shed with his dad fixing or making things than anything else. From a young age, his fascination was finding out how things worked and how they were put together.

Designed by Michael and Keith in collaboration with Workshopped, Exhibeo is a unique piece of tableware. Its shallow form is versatile and elegant, allowing the product to be used as a fruit bowl, centerpiece or platter.

Inspiration for Exhibeo initially came from a fascination with 2D patterns that had a 3D appearance such as spyrographs and tessellations, a simple but organised process, which creates an extremely complex and chaotic outcome. Hyberbolic tessellations were used to explore the structure and create the facets for Exhibeo.

The polished 316 Stainless Steel finish fits into any environment and is extremely durable. The reflective finish of the interior mirrors its environment and exaggerates the facets defining the form, and is beautifully contrasted to the matte finish of the exterior.

The complex flat pattern is laser cut, surface finished and pressed into shape and polished.
