Sooper Designer Adam Cornish

Sooper Designer Adam Cornish wins Corporate Culture Design Pitch.

Adam’s winning design Monkey Pots are a linking system of hanging planter pots inspired by the classic children’s game, Barrel of Monkeys. Melbourne designer Adam Cornish was one of one of five designers invited to battle it out at the 2011 Corporate Culture Design Pitch Event, as part of IDEA Week held in Melbourne.

Each designer was given up to 10 minutes to pitch a recent product to a panel of design industry professionals and audience, including special guest Jacob Holm, CEO of renowned Danish furniture brand, The Republic of Fritz Hansen. As the winner, Adam will travel to the 2012 Milan Salone, courtesy of Corporate Culture and receive a mentorship from Corporate Culture’s Richard Munao.

“The design pitch gave me the opportunity to pitch an Australian designed and made product, that is both space and water conscious, inspired by our ever shrinking living space” Adam says. “The feedback I received from the panel and audience members was extremely encouraging and I look forward to introducing this product and others in Milan in 2012 – which I hope aides to increase Australia’s design industry presence overseas.”

Corporate Culture’s director Richard Munao congratulated Adam on his clever and well resolved Monkey Pot design. “Adam was a deserving winner by audience vote and we wish him all the best in Milan next year,” he said.

Adam’s Monkey Pots are available to purchase online with Sooper Design in a multiple of colours.
